I live on the lands of the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji and Yirrganydji peoples and I grew up on Djabugay Country. I recognise the long and lasting relationship that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to Country. As someone who has dedicated my professional career to environmental and climate advocacy, I am honoured to work alongside First Nations Leaders in Australia who care for Country and community with passion and dedication.
During this expedition I will be travelling across many First Nations lands. I have reached out to each of these groups, and I am excited to be meeting some community leaders along the way. It’s important to me that I have made every effort to connect with and spend time with First Nations whose territories I visit, depending on their time and interest. Below you can learn more about the Traditional lands I will be travelling through.
